Plain terms for a small editorial site: we publish information, the booking contract is with someone else.
Agreement
By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. The site is operated by Japan Best Ryokan, Tokyo, Japan.
What we provide
This site provides editorial information about Japanese inns and travel in Japan. It is general information, not personal travel, legal, medical or financial advice, and it does not take account of your circumstances.
We are not a travel agent and we do not sell accommodation. We do not enter into any contract with you for a stay. Any reservation you make is a contract between you, the booking partner and the inn.
Accuracy
We take care with what we publish and correct errors when we learn of them, but we do not warrant that everything on the site is complete, current or free of mistakes. Prices, ratings, meal plans, facilities, transport times and opening arrangements change, often without notice. Anything that matters to your booking should be confirmed with the inn or the booking partner before you pay.
Links to other sites
We link to booking partners and other third-party sites. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their prices, their availability or their handling of your data. Some of those links earn us a commission, as described in our affiliate disclosure.
Your use of the site
You may read, print and share our pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy substantial parts of the site, scrape it automatically, republish our text or images elsewhere, or use our name in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our written permission.
Intellectual property
The text, layout and design of this site belong to Japan Best Ryokan unless stated otherwise. Photographs remain the property of their respective owners and are used with permission or under licence. If you believe material here infringes your rights, write to info@japanbestryokan.com and we will deal with it promptly.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on information published here, including loss connected with a booking made through a partner. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the current version is always the one on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, except where consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you other rights.
